Kitchen Remodel

Phase 1

Let’s Talk Kitchen Design & Remodel

Visiting a kitchen and bath showroom is one of the first steps you’ll take when thinking about remodeling a kitchen. It’s a great way to get started in the right direction. During your showroom visit, we can discuss the general picture of what you’re looking for, your goals, ideas, and vision and our process for moving forward.

In the showroom, you can see what types of materials and features are available such as cabinetry, appliances, colors, styles, and features. This is also a great way for the designer to get a sense of your style, tastes, and needs for your project.

At the end of this visit, whether you have your own contractor or not, you will decide whether or not we are a good fit for you.

Phase 2

FREE In Home consultation

The kitchen remodeling consultant will visit your home at no charge to take measurements of your existing kitchen and talk with you and/or your contractor, if applicable, to learn how we can best serve you. The most important thing the consultant does is to understand from you WHY you are remodeling your kitchen. This visit is an opportunity for everyone to start getting down to the nuts and bolts of putting together a new kitchen, such as kitchen cabinets and kitchen counter tops. The consultant gets to see first hand the troubles that you are facing in your kitchen and the obvious barriers to being happy in your kitchen.

Discussion topics during this visit often include:

  • Pros and cons of your current kitchen
  • Your style and ideas for kitchen cabinets and countertops
  • The basics of kitchen design (i.e. triangle points, space considerations, etc.)
  • Scope of kitchen design project

Phase 3

Conceptual LAYOUT Work

Based on the initial home visit, the consultant will provide you with an estimate of the cost of an initial conceptual layout that could be used to provide a basic cost of your kitchen cabinetry. Of course, the cost will be credited on your account toward your purchase. This conceptual layout fee is minimal and is based upon the complexity of your space and needs. Be assured that this fee is very reasonable as we strive to earn your cabinetry business.

This initial conceptual work provides a basic layout of cabinetry and appliances with all the core concepts in place and serves to ensure we can produce a space that embraces your wants and needs, is functional, and can work within your budget.

Phase 4

 Conceptual Layout Review

Once the conceptual work has been completed, Envision will arrange a meeting with you to review your overall conceptual layout and estimated cost of cabinetry and/or your overall project budget.  From here, If you decide you would like to move forward with Envision, there are no further design fees associated with your design and purchase.  Envision will then provide you with full design services associated with your cabinetry until it is finalized and ready for order.

Installation Visit

Whether you have your own contractor or use an Envision Team Contractor, this visit is vitally important for both you and the designer before heavy design work is to be done. Prior to the visit, the installer will be given your initial conceptual design and the run-through on your overall project. During this visit, he or she will review the scope of the project, listen to your ideas and plans, and determine if your new layout and design will work or requires more investigation. The installer will begin firming up the overall cost of your construction project based on the conceptual design.

Phase 5

The Construction Project

Whether this is a do it yourself project, hiring your own contractor, or using an Envision Contracting team member, your order(s) for kitchen design materials purchased from Envision will be made according to your construction project timeline and contractor needs. An Envision kitchen designer works hand and hand with you and your contracting team prior to and during your entire kitchen project. For each phase of the remodel, the designer assists in the selection of colors and styles of everything involved in your project to help make sure it all works together and is ordered on time.
